The competition is open to applications from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that will cooperate with the Digital Innovation Center (DIH) or the European Digital Innovation Center (EDIH). SMEs are defined as enterprises with fewer than 250 employees and an annual turnover not exceeding EUR 50 million and/or an annual balance sheet not exceeding EUR 43 million.

The budget of the competition is 1,250,000 euros to finance 10 experiments. The maximum amount of funding for one experiment is up to 125,000 euros.
