How will conscripts who entered the wrong address when updating their data be punished

According to the new law on strengthening mobilization measures in Ukraine, all conscripts had to update their military registration data at the territorial recruitment and social support center by July 16, 2024. However, some men decided to cheat the TCC in order to avoid mobilization and provided a false residential address when updating their data.

Responsibility for incorrect address when updating data

The updating of data was important for effective notification of conscripts by representatives of the TCC, in particular through the mail.

If the wrong address was specified when updating the conscript's data or the data was not updated, the military commissariat employees will send a summons to the last known address that was registered, for example, from the time of registration at the age of 17.

Also, specifying the wrong address is considered a violation of military records, which can lead to the imposition of a fine in the amount of 25.5 thousand UAH.

Who can receive subpoenas by mail

All Ukrainians can receive summonses by mail, sent by registered mail with a description of the attachment and a notice of delivery.

Subpoenas will be sent to those who have not updated their military registration data by the deadline.

In addition, this applies to persons who:

• work remotely;
• are on vacation;
• are on a long-term business trip.

It is important that a summons by mail can be refused only if it is not properly executed.

The Mobilization Law: basic information for conscripts

From May 18, 2024, a new law on mobilization came into force, according to which all conscripted men must update their data at the TCC within 60 days. Failure to comply with this deadline may result in prosecution.

From the same day, the electronic office of the conscript, where you need to register a phone number, e-mail and residential address, became operational. These data must be entered through TCC, SP and the specified resource.

According to the new rules, all conscripts, including those with reservations, must clarify their data with the TCC. In addition, businesses will be obliged not only to keep military records, but also to ensure the delivery of summonses.
