And students of higher education institutions lose their right to deferment after completing their studies.

According to the government decree, the postponement is granted for the period of mobilization. After the start of a full-scale invasion, a reprieve is imposed for three months, after which the president continues mobilization and martial law with the following decree. Thus, the postponement is effective until the expiration of the mobilization decree, and then it is necessary to resubmit documents for its extension.

This means the need to contact the territorial collection center every one and a half, two and a half or three months to apply for an extension of the deferment. The term depends on the speed of the postponement. If the decree expires, the postponement also expires and the documents must be submitted again.

The resolution provides that in order to extend the postponement, it is necessary to submit an application to the commission in paper or electronic form. However, there is currently no possibility of electronic submission, and the application must be submitted in person.

Is it necessary to renew the deferment for people with disabilities?

Persons with disabilities of the I, II, III groups are not subject to mobilization, but remain on military registration. They have the right to voluntarily go to service under a contract. If a person with a disability does not want this, he still needs to issue a deferral and periodically renew it after the expiration date.

Only those whom the Military Medical Commission (MMC) recognized as unfit for military service are excluded from registration. For this, it is enough for the "unfit" to submit an application for exclusion to the territorial picking center.
