Student self-government in institutions of higher education plays an important role in the formation of active and responsible citizenship of the younger generation. This organization allows students to actively participate in university management processes, express their opinions, make suggestions for improving the educational process and general student activities. In this article, we will consider the role and importance of student self-government in higher educational institutions.
Forms and organization of student self-government
Student self-government can take various forms in different universities. Typically, this consists of a student-elected body that includes a president, vice-president, secretary, and other officers, as well as student committees, clubs, and associations. These structures are responsible for various aspects of student life: from organizing cultural events to representing student interests before the university administration.

Challenges and Prospects for the Development of Student Self-Government
Despite the importance of student government, there are certain challenges facing these organizations. One of them is insufficient funding and resources. Many student organizations face the problem of a limited budget, which complicates their activities and the implementation of projects. That is why a legal analysis of a contract by a lawyer or a legal analysis of contracts for educational services that applicants sign when entering educational institutions may be necessary.
Another challenge is to ensure representativeness and inclusion. Often, student governments can become representatives of only a certain part of the student body, which does not reflect all the diversity and needs of the student community.
