Ukrainian citizens have the right to obtain a foreign passport as they wish. A foreign passport is an important document for traveling abroad and allows a person to cross the border and stay abroad. Get a foreign passport, this right is available to all citizens of Ukraine, regardless of their age or other circumstances. Obtaining a foreign passport is voluntary and each person can decide whether they need it based on their needs and future plans.
The list of documents and information that may be needed to issue a foreign passport for citizens of Ukraine, to obtain a passport:
Passport of a citizen of Ukraine: For persons older than 14 years, a passport of a citizen of Ukraine is usually required, and for children younger than 14 years - a birth certificate.
Registration number of the taxpayer's registration card (RNOKPP): This number is required to identify a person in the taxation system.
Application-questionnaire: Formed at the place of submission of the application for obtaining a passport.
Previously issued foreign passports or travel documents of the child: If there are any, they may be needed in cases of reissuance or if the child's last name has changed.
Application for the loss of the previous passport: In case of loss of the previous passport, it is necessary to submit an application about it in an arbitrary form.
Extract from the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations (in case of theft of a previous passport in Ukraine): This is necessary for processing documents in case of theft.
All citizens of Ukraine have the right to obtain an international passport at their own request. The validity period of the passport may vary depending on the age of the person:
Children from birth: Foreign passports are issued to children from birth and are usually valid for 4 years.
Citizens 16 years of age and older: Passports for individuals 16 years of age and older are usually valid for 10 years.
To obtain a foreign passport, citizens of Ukraine can apply in person to the following places, get a passport:
Administrative Service Centers (ASCs): This is a convenient option, as ASCs are located in many localities and provide access to a variety of on-site administrative services.
Department of the State Migration Service (SMS): Departments of the State Migration Service also issue foreign passports and can be used for this procedure."Passport service" service center of SE Document: These centers specialize in providing passport services and can also provide assistance in issuing a foreign passport.
Corresponding diplomatic institution abroad: In case of residence abroad, citizens of Ukraine can apply to the relevant diplomatic institution of their country to obtain a foreign passport.
