According to Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mandatory State Pension Insurance", men and women have the opportunity to receive an old-age pension after reaching the age of 60, 63 or 65, depending on their insurance experience. In 2024, in order to receive a pension from the age of 60, it is necessary to have at least 31 years of experience. To receive a pension at the age of 63, the length of service must be from 21 to 31 years, and at the age of 65 - from 15 to 21 years.
However, there are certain professions and conditions under which old-age pension can be assigned earlier than the established terms. In 2024, such conditions will also undergo changes. For example, for persons who worked in particularly harmful and difficult working conditions according to list No. 1 or other jobs related to harmful working conditions according to list No. 2, an old-age pension can be assigned on preferential terms. For example, according to List No. 1, a pension can be received after reaching the age of 50 if there is an insurance record of at least 25 years for men and at least 20 years for women, of which a certain period has been spent in the specified jobs. In the absence of the specified length of service by April 1, 2024, the old-age pension is granted if there is an insurance length of at least 24 years and 6 months for men and at least 19 years and 6 months for women.
After reaching the legal age, women born in 1975 and older are entitled to an old-age pension under preferential conditions.For example, women born in 1975 can receive a pension at the age of:
49 years from October 1, 1973 to March 31, 1974;
49 years and 6 months from April 1, 1974 to September 30, 1974;
50 years from October 1, 1974 to December 31, 1975.
Regarding the pension under List No. 2, women can receive a pension after reaching the age of 55, provided that they have at least 25 years of insurance experience, including a certain period of work in the specified positions. In the absence of the required insurance experience by April 1, 2024, the old-age pension will be granted provided that the insurance experience is at least 24 years and 6 months.
Women born in 1970 and older have the opportunity to receive an old age pension on preferential terms after reaching a certain age. Example:
54 years from October 1, 1968 to March 31, 1969;
54 years and 6 months from April 1, 1969 to September 30, 1969;
55 years from October 1, 1969 to December 31, 1970.
As for men who work as tractor-drivers in the production of agricultural products, an old-age pension can be granted after reaching the age of 55 and having a certain insurance experience. In the absence of the specified length of service by April 1, 2024, the pension will be assigned according to other terms of the insurance length of service.
*for women who work as tractor drivers, drivers of construction, road and loading and unloading machines mounted on the basis of tractors and excavators - after reaching the age of 55 and with at least 25 years of insurance experience, of which at least 15 years in the specified job .In case of lack of work experience within 25 years before April 1, 2024, an old-age pension on preferential terms will be granted only if there is at the time of reaching the established insurance experience of at least 24 years and 6 months.
Women born in 1970 or earlier are entitled to an old-age pension on preferential terms after reaching a certain age:
54 years: from October 1, 1968 to March 31, 1969;
54 years and 6 months: from April 1, 1969 to September 30, 1969;
55 years: from October 1, 1969 to December 31, 1970.
In the case of drivers of city passenger transport and heavy vehicles employed in the technological process of heavy and hazardous industries, an old-age pension may be granted after reaching the age of 55, subject to certain insurance experience:
for men - at least 30 years, including at least 12 years and 6 months in the specified job;
for women - at least 25 years, including at least 10 years in the specified job.

In the absence of the specified insurance experience until April 1, 2024, an old-age pension on preferential terms will be granted only if there is an established insurance experience of at least 29 years and 6 months for men and at least 24 years and 6 months for women at the time coming of age
