The Order "Gold Star" is one of the highest state awards of Ukraine, which is awarded for exceptional services to the Ukrainian people in support of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, for demonstrated heroism, courage and self-sacrifice in the defense of the homeland.
The state award has the form of a golden octagonal cross on which a golden star is placed. In the center of the order is depicted the outline of the coat of arms of Ukraine. On the obverse of the order is written "For Heroism" (in Ukrainian), and on the reverse - "Gold Star" (also in Ukrainian).
