However, obtaining a residence permit in Luxembourg can be a complex process that requires compliance with certain requirements and procedures. In this article, we will consider the key aspects and tips for obtaining a residence permit in Luxembourg for citizens of Ukraine.
Luxembourg is one of the richest countries in the European Union with a high standard of living and economic advantages. This small duchy is popular among migrants due to its favorable business climate and safe living conditions. During the war in Ukraine, Luxembourg is open for the shelter of our compatriots. However, for a long-term legal stay here, citizens of Ukraine need to obtain a proper residence permit. Let's consider the main ways of obtaining it.
1. Temporary residence permit for Ukrainian refugees
In connection with the war, the Luxembourg government introduced a special program to provide temporary protection to refugees from Ukraine. To obtain an appropriate permit for a period of up to 1 year, it is necessary to apply to the Ministry of Immigration within 90 days after entry.
