Which of the school teachers will undergo teacher certification in 2024
The order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated December 1, 2023 No. 1464 establishes that in 2024 the certification of pedagogical workers of the following categories will be carried out:
primary school teachers;
mathematics teachers who ensure the implementation of the new State standard in the first cycle of basic general secondary education;
teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature, who ensure the implementation of the new State standard in the first cycle of basic general secondary education;
teachers of educational subjects (integrated courses) of the civic and historical educational field and/or the educational field of "Social Studies" (world history, introduction to the history of Ukraine and civic education, civic education, history of Ukraine, the basics of jurisprudence, "Exploring history and society" courses, " History: Ukraine and the world", "Ukraine and the world: an introduction to history and civic education").
Voluntary registration for certification
Participation of teachers in certification is subject to their voluntary registration. Teachers are allowed to participate in the certification, who provided during registration a certificate from the educational institution that they belong to the appropriate category.The maximum number of teaching staff who can register for certification is for teachers:
primary classes - no more than 1,500 people;
Ukrainian language and literature and mathematics — no more than 1,000 people of each category;
educational subjects of the civic and historical educational field and/or the educational field "Sociology" - no more than 500 people.
Registration of participants will continue:
from January 15 to 25 — within the limits of the limit determined for each region;
from January 26 to January 30 — within the limits of the total limit determined by the order for each category.
Teachers who successfully pass the certification will receive an additional payment of 20% to the official salary during the validity period of the certificate - three years.
The test for primary school teachers will contain 90 tasks of two forms: with the choice of one correct answer (86 tasks) and an open form with a short answer (4 tasks), which will be completed in 180 minutes. The maximum number of points that a certification participant can score by correctly completing all test tasks is 94.
The test for language and literature teachers will also contain 90 tasks of two forms: with the choice of one correct answer (82 tasks) and for establishing correspondence ("logical pairs") (8 tasks), which will be completed in 180 minutes. The maximum number of points that a participant can score by correctly completing all the tasks of the test is 114.The test for teachers of mathematics education will contain 75 tasks of three forms: with the choice of one correct answer (62 tasks), for establishing correspondence ("logical pairs") (3 tasks) and open form with a short answer (10 tasks), which 180 minutes will be allocated. The maximum number of points that can be scored by correctly completing all the tasks of the certification test is 91.

In 2024, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine established the certification of pedagogical workers of elementary school teachers, teachers of mathematics, Ukrainian language and literature, as well as teachers of subjects of civics and historical education. Participation in the certification is voluntary, and the number of teaching staff who can participate in it is limited. Registration of certification participants takes place within the specified time and number of places. Successful participants will receive a salary supplement for three years.
