Yes, according to the above-mentioned article, if a person has committed the actions provided for in the first part of Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, namely, driving vehicles while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxication, or under the influence of drugs that reduce their attention and speed of reaction, and this is already a repeated case during the year, when a person was twice subject to administrative fines for similar violations, the following sanctions are provided for:
- a fine in the amount of three thousand tax-free minimum incomes of citizens.
- deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of ten years.
- confiscation of a vehicle that is privately owned by the offender.
If the person who was driving the vehicle is found to be in a state of alcohol, drug or other intoxication after a traffic accident involving him or her, or after stopping the vehicle at the request of a police officer for a medical examination to determine the state of intoxication or drug use substances or drugs that can affect attention and reaction speed, this entails the following consequences:
- imposition of a fine on the driver in the amount of two thousand tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or administrative arrest for a period of fifteen days.
- deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of three years for the driver.
- the same sanctions, namely a fine or administrative arrest, for other persons who did not drive the vehicle.These sanctions are aimed at preventing drunk driving and ensuring road safety.
