Procedural management of the prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) together with the detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) made it possible to expose and prevent attempts to illegally seize state land plots in Sumy Oblast. SAP prosecutors and NABU detectives jointly uncovered a scheme involving the illegal acquisition of state lands in Sumy Oblast. According to the press service of the SAP, it was found that the criminal group was headed by the former chairman of the agrarian committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, who at the time of the investigation held the position of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, which indicates a high level of corrupt influence in the government.
