Amounts of one-time cash assistance in case of partial disability
Partial incapacitation of a military person can have different causes and consequences. This may be due to being wounded in combat, illness or injury resulting from an accident or other factor. The consequences of such a loss can vary depending on the severity and duration of the problem. This usually leads to a temporary limitation in the performance of military duties or even the need for medical leave to restore health. It is important that military personnel receive appropriate medical care and support for a quick and successful recovery and return to full capacity.
In Ukraine, a one-time cash benefit in case of partial loss of working capacity without establishing disability is paid to military personnel, reservists and conscripts depending on the degree of loss of working capacity established by the medical and social expert commission. The amount of assistance is determined as a percentage of a certain multiple of the subsistence minimum established for able-bodied persons on January 1 of the calendar year in which the degree of loss of working capacity was first established.
The amount of assistance is determined as follows:
1. Military servicemen on contract service and persons released from military service: 70 times the subsistence minimum - if an injury (contusion, trauma, mutilation) or illness during the performance of military duties resulted in partial loss of working capacity without establishing disability. Assistance is also provided to persons discharged from military service who have partially lost their ability to work for the same reasons, but no later than three months after discharge.
2. Conscripts and persons released from such service: 50 times the subsistence minimum - if an injury (contusion, trauma, mutilation) or illness during the period of conscript military service resulted in partial loss of working capacity without establishing disability. Assistance is also provided to persons released from military service who have partially lost their ability to work for the same reasons, but no later than three months after release.
3. Conscripts and reservists: 50 times the subsistence minimum - if an injury (contusion, trauma, mutilation) or illness during the performance of military service or service in the military reserve resulted in partial loss of working capacity without establishing disability. Assistance is provided during the period of training and special training or service in the military reserve or no later than three months after the end of such training or service in the military reserve.
Necessary documents for receiving assistance:
1. Application for the payment of a one-time cash benefit.
2. A certified copy of the MSEK certificate with information on the degree of disability and the causal relationship.
3. Resolution of the military medical commission regarding the causal relationship of an injury or illness.
4. A document testifying to the causes and circumstances of the injury or illness (including confirmation of the absence of criminal offenses or the influence of alcohol/drugs).
5. Identity document (passport, military ID, etc.).
6.A document certifying registration in the State Register of natural persons - taxpayers (if necessary).
7. Court decision (if any) on matters of appointment and payment of one-time cash assistance.
These documents must be submitted to the relevant authorized body to receive one-time cash assistance.
