The Ukrainian justice system is once again stepping forward in the fight against corruption and ensuring transparency and openness. The State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, together with territorial administrations and enterprises in the field of administration, joined the system of the Unified whistleblower notification portal. This step shows the resolute readiness of the Ukrainian authorities to fight corruption at all levels.
The press service of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine confirmed this news, stressing that the portal was created by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption. Its main goal is to create a mechanism for reporting corruption or corruption-related offenses, which will help punish the guilty and prevent similar cases in the future.
It is noted that this is only the first stage of connecting the bodies of the judicial branch of government to this system, which took place with the participation of the DSA of Ukraine. We would like to remind you that this became possible thanks to the changes made to the Portal Management Procedure, which were approved by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption in April this year.
Currently, the procedure for connecting organizations to the portal has already been changed, according to the version of the order dated May 3, 2024. According to this, the second phase involves connecting to the portal of appeals and local courts within the next 90 days.
Joining the Unified whistleblower reporting portal was another important step in the direction of strengthening trust in the judicial system of Ukraine and ensuring transparency in the activities of the courts. This initiative demonstrates the determination of the Ukrainian authorities in the fight against corruption and creating favorable conditions for justice and legality. What does this mean for the Ukrainian judicial system? First, it will increase the level of openness and transparency in the work of the courts, because any corrupt actions or violations will be registered and carefully considered. Such a step will contribute to the detection and termination of corruption schemes in the judicial system, as well as improve citizens' trust in the courts. This means that these levels of the judicial system will also have a means to identify and resolve corruption cases in their activities. Such an approach will contribute to the creation of a competitive and honest judiciary that adheres to high standards of ethics and legality.
In addition, it is important to note that this step is part of the overall effort of the government of Ukraine in the fight against corruption. Joining the Unified whistleblower reporting portal reflects the priority of the Ukrainian authorities in ensuring transparency and openness in all spheres of public administration.
In general, this initiative shows the government's recognition of the need to strengthen the fight against corruption and strengthen citizens' trust in the judicial system. This is an important step in the direction of building a fair and transparent society, where the rights of every citizen are protected and the law is above all.
