For EU/EFTA citizens and their families:
Citizens of EU or EFTA countries can enter Poland with a valid travel document or any other document certifying identity and citizenship. Family members who are not citizens of these countries can enter Poland with a valid travel document and, if necessary, a visa. Visa application forms are submitted to the Polish consul or at the border post upon entry.

Conditions for staying for more than 3 months:
EU/EFTA citizens can live in Poland for more than 3 months if they:
Works or is self-employed in Poland.
Have sufficient financial resources and health insurance to not be a burden on social assistance.
Are students or interns with adequate financial resources and health insurance.
They are spouses of Polish citizens.
Actively looking for work, with an initial job search period of no more than 6 months, unless they can demonstrate active efforts and a realistic chance of finding work.
Family members who are not EU/EFTA nationals must obtain a residence permit, which is usually valid for 5 years, according to the period of stay of the EU national.

Refusal of registration or residence permit
The voivode may refuse registration or a residence permit if:
