Obtaining a beer trade license
Obtaining a beer trade license in Ukraine is a mandatory procedure for business entities that plan to sell beer. The licensing procedure is regulated by the Law of Ukraine "On State Regulation of the Production and Circulation of Ethyl Alcohol, Cognac and Fruit Alcohol, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco Products" and other normative legal acts.
The main stages of obtaining a beer trade license
These are the rules for issuing a license for the retail sale of alcoholic beverages in Ukraine. Let's go through this process step by step:
1. Preparation of an application: a business entity prepares an application for obtaining a license. The application specifies the type of business activity (retail trade of alcoholic beverages), the address of the place of trade and other necessary data, including information about the registrars of settlement operations.
2. Application submission: the application is submitted to the head office of the State Tax Service at the business entity's place of business.
Payment of license fees: The business entity pays license fees quarterly in accordance with the requirements of the Budget Code of Ukraine. These funds are credited to local budgets at the place of activity.
3. Issuance of a license: after consideration of the application and verification of documents by the competent authorities, a license for the retail sale of alcoholic beverages may be issued to a business entity. This license is issued for one year.
4.Compliance with license conditions: the business entity must comply with all conditions set forth in the license conditions, including timely payment of license fees and compliance with the requirements for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
This process is governed by relevant legislation and may be subject to change over time in accordance with market needs and requirements.
Documents are submitted to the relevant territorial division of the State Tax Service of Ukraine at the place of trade of the business entity. The application and additional documents can be submitted in person or by mail.
After submitting the documents, the State Tax Service checks their completeness and compliance with the requirements of the law. Application processing usually takes up to 10 working days. In the case of a positive decision, the State Tax Service issues a beer trade license. The license is issued for one year with the possibility of extension.
A state fee must be paid for issuing a license. The amount of the fee depends on the location of the trade object (in cities or rural areas) and is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. It is necessary to specify the actual amount at the time of submitting the application.
Additional requirements
The premises where beer is sold must comply with sanitary and fire regulations.
All operations on the sale of beer must be registered through a cash register (registrar of settlement operations).
Compliance with trade regulations: Business entities must comply with liquor trade regulations, including restrictions on the sale of beer to minors and at certain times.
Procedure for license extension
To extend the beer trade license, you need:
Prepare an application for license extension. The application is submitted no later than 30 days before the expiration of the current license.
Update the necessary documents if circumstances affecting the licensing requirements have changed (for example, a change in the address of the place of business or the owner of the premises).
Pay the state fee for license extension.
