Legal support during border crossing
Crossing the state border has always been an important topic, especially in the conditions of modern challenges that Ukraine has faced. This issue becomes especially relevant for men who may face the fact that a temporary restriction has been imposed on the right to travel outside of Ukraine in conditions of military mobilization. In this article, we will consider the basic rules for crossing the border, the conditions for crossing the Ukrainian and Polish borders, as well as the necessary documents for this process.
Border crossing rules for men
According to Ukrainian legislation, in particular the provisions of clauses 2-6 of the Rules for Crossing the State Border by Citizens of Ukraine and paragraphs of the first part of Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Training and Mobilization", certain categories of men may be temporarily restricted in their right to travel outside of Ukraine. However, there are exceptions that allow certain categories of men to cross the border.
Departure of a man removed from military registration
Men who have been removed from military registration based on the decision of the Military Medical Commission (MMC) on unfitness for military service with exclusion from military registration can go abroad. They must have relevant documents from the territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCC and SP) marked "removed from military registration". If such a mark does not confirm disability or unfitness for military service in wartime due to health, it is recommended to contact the TCC and SP for clarification.
Departure of a man who is the father of three or more children
Men who have three or more dependent children under the age of 18 have the right to cross the border. For this, it is necessary to provide supporting documents, such as birth certificates of children, a certificate of marriage registration with the children's mother, a court decision on determining the place of residence of the children with their father, or a certificate of the father of a large family.
Departure of a person with a disability
Persons with disabilities have the right to cross the state border on the basis of documents confirming their disability. These can be certificates of a medical and social expert commission, or a certificate, or a pension certificate or certificates for receiving benefits.
Conditions for crossing the Polish border
In connection with Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, Poland eased the entry conditions for Ukrainians. If you are fleeing the conflict, you will be allowed into Poland even if you do not have all the necessary documents.
It is important to have your domestic passport, foreign passport (if you have one), birth certificates and medical documentation. At the border, you will be provided with temporary accommodation, hot meals, medical assistance and a place to rest.
Crossing the border is possible both by vehicles and on foot. If you are traveling with animals, dogs and cats must be microchipped and vaccinated.
What documents are required to cross the border
Crossing the border requires a certain package of documents:
Domestic passport or ID card.
Foreign passport (if any).
Children's birth certificates (if children are traveling).
Medical documents.
Documents confirming a special status (for example, documents on disability or multiple children).
Conclusion:
Crossing the border is a complex process that requires knowledge of current rules and the availability of the necessary documents. In case of doubts or problems, contact specialists.
