Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the introduction of liability for violations of the requirements for the maintenance and operation of objects of the fund of protective structures of civil protection.
Introduction
Civil defense is an important element of national security, which ensures the protection of the population and territories in case of emergencies. The objects of the fund of civil defense protective structures play a key role in this process. Ensuring these facilities are properly maintained and operated is critical to ensuring their effectiveness when needed. Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine are aimed at introducing liability for violations of the requirements for the maintenance and operation of such facilities.

Article 188. Violation of the requirements for the maintenance and operation of the objects of the fund of civil defense protective structures:
Part 1: Violation of the requirements for the maintenance and operation of the objects of the fund of protective structures of civil protection, which did not lead to a real threat to the life and health of people, entails the imposition of a fine on citizens from 50 to 100 of the tax-free minimum income of citizens and on officials persons - from 100 to 200 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens.
Part 2: Violation of the requirements for the maintenance and operation of the objects of the fund of protective structures of civil defense, which led to a real threat to the life and health of people, entails the imposition of a fine on citizens from 100 to 200 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens and on officials - from 200 to 300 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens. 2. Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine

Article 270. Violation of the requirements for the maintenance and operation of the objects of the fund of protective structures of civil protection:
Part 1: Violation of the requirements for the maintenance and operation of the objects of the fund of protective structures of civil protection, which caused significant material damage or created a real threat to the life and health of people - is punishable by a fine from 200 to 500 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or corrective works for a period of time up to 2 years, or restriction of liberty for up to 3 years.
Part 2: The same actions, if they caused the death of people or other grave consequences, are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 3 to 7 years.
