Types of disciplinary sanctions
The legislation of Ukraine provides several types of disciplinary sanctions for military personnel, which can be applied depending on the severity of the violation:
Remark:
The mildest disciplinary sanction consists of an official appeal to the serviceman indicating his violation and the need to correct it.
Reprimand:
A more serious disciplinary penalty, which involves an official announcement to the serviceman of his violation and the imposition of a corresponding penalty.A severe reprimand:
A harsher form of reprimand, which indicates the seriousness of the violation and the need for greater responsibility on the part of the serviceman.
Demotion:
It applies to servicemen who have committed serious violations and involves a transfer to a lower position.
Demotion in military rank:
Presupposes the reduction of the military rank by one or more degrees, which is a serious punishment for a serviceman.
Arrest with detention at the guardhouse:
The most severe disciplinary sanction, which involves keeping a serviceman in custody at the guardhouse for a specified period.

The procedure for applying disciplinary sanctions includes several stages:
Violation detection:
Record of violation of military discipline or official duties.
Investigation:
Conducting an official investigation to establish the circumstances of the violation and the serviceman's guilt.
Making a decision:
Relevant officials make a decision on the application of disciplinary sanctions.
Foreclosure announcement:
The serviceman is officially notified of the imposed disciplinary penalty and its reasons.
Foreclosure:
