Liability for drunk driving in Ukraine under martial law

Pursuant to Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code, for violation of road traffic safety rules while intoxicated, which caused moderate bodily injuries, punishment is provided in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of three to five years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the term from five to seven years. If these actions caused serious bodily injury or death of the victim, the prescribed penalty is imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of five to ten years.
