Making changes to the medical license regarding
ensuring free access for groups of the population with limited mobility
A medical license is a document that entitles a medical professional to perform certain medical procedures, diagnose, treat or provide medical advice. Obtaining a medical license usually involves the completion of specialized education and long clinical practices, as well as the successful completion of medical exams.
A medical license confirms that a medical specialist has the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to perform his professional activities in the medical field. It is also a mechanism for monitoring the quality of medical practice and ensures the specialist's compliance with legal requirements and standards of professional ethics.
Medical licenses are issued by the competent medical authorities or licensing institutions in each specific country. In many countries, medical professionals are also required to regularly validate their license by participating in professional development activities or passing special exams to confirm their qualifications and competencies.
Resolution No. 1393 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 27.12.2023 amended Resolution No. 285 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 02.03.2016 regarding provision of free access for people with reduced mobility.
This resolution has a significant impact on the organization of medical practice in Ukraine. The main goal is to ensure the availability of medical care for the less mobile population groups.The need to ensure free access for these population groups to premises where medical practice is provided, including rehabilitation facilities, is especially important.
This means that any medical facility providing services must be adapted for the free movement of persons with reduced mobility. If the medical institution has several buildings or buildings, information on accessibility for groups with reduced mobility must be provided separately for each building.
It also assumes that there is a person with the appropriate qualification certificate who confirms the facility's accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Information about this should be included in the information on the state of the material and technical base of the institution, as well as on the availability of personnel, indicating their educational and qualification level. This contributes to the creation of a more accessible and inclusive environment for the provision of medical services to the entire population.

This information not only helps determine how efficiently a medical institution functions and what capabilities are available in it, but also allows you to ensure the compliance of medical institutions with the requirements of standards and regulations.
Submission of updated information to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine will ensure the relevance of data and help in planning and improving the medical system, which in turn will contribute to improving the quality of medical care and meeting the needs of the population.
