Compensation for unused days of additional leave as a participant in hostilities
Combatants are entitled to additional social benefits and guarantees, including additional paid leave. However, it is not always possible to use all vacation days during the calendar year. In such cases, compensation for unused days of additional leave is provided. This article examines the main aspects of providing such compensation.
Legal basis
The legislation of Ukraine stipulates that combatants have the right to annual additional paid leave of 14 calendar days. This right is regulated by the Law of Ukraine "On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection".

Procedure for receiving compensation
Employee application: The employee submits a relevant application to the personnel department or accounting department of the enterprise.
Calculation and payment: The employer is obliged to calculate and pay the compensation no later than one month after submitting the application.
