How to Receive Payment to the Military through MSEK (Medical and Social Expert Commission)
Receiving payments through the MSEK (Medical-Social Expert Commission) is an important aspect of social protection for servicemen who have been injured, disabled or have other health problems that limit their ability to work. In this article, we will consider the main steps and requirements for receiving such payments in Ukraine.
Basic Steps for Receiving Payments
1. Medical Examination
The first step is to undergo a detailed medical examination at a military medical facility. A military serviceman must receive doctors' opinions about his health, which will be the basis for further consideration of the case at the MSEK.
2. Preparation of Documents
To pass the MSEK, you need to collect the following documents:
Medical certificates and conclusions from doctors.
An extract from the outpatient card or medical history.
Passport and identification code (copies).
Military ID.
Referral to MSEK from the Military Medical Commission (MMC).
3. Submission of Documents to MSEK
Collected documents must be submitted to the local office of the MSEK. A serviceman may be sent for additional medical examinations or consultations.
4. Passing MSEK
MSEK conducts a comprehensive examination and assessment of the state of health of a serviceman. On the basis of this examination, the commission makes a decision on establishing a disability group, if necessary, and on the degree of loss of working capacity.
5. Obtaining a Decision of the MSEK
After completion of the examination, the MSEK issues a corresponding act, which indicates the group of disability and the degree of loss of working capacity. This document is the basis for receiving payments.
Types of payments through MSEK
1. Disability pension
Servicemen who have been assigned a disability group have the right to receive a disability pension. The size of the pension depends on the disability group, length of military service and other factors.
2. One-time Financial Assistance
Military personnel who were injured or disabled in the line of duty may be entitled to a one-time cash benefit. The amount of this assistance depends on the severity of the injury or disability.
3. Compensation for Treatment and Rehabilitation
Military personnel can receive compensation for the costs of treatment, rehabilitation, prosthetics and other necessary medical services.
4. Monthly Social Payments
Some categories of servicemen may be entitled to monthly social benefits that compensate for partial disability.
Procedure for Receiving Payments
1. Application submission
After receiving the decision of the MSEK, it is necessary to submit an application for receiving payments to the relevant social security body or pension fund. All necessary documents are attached to the application, including the MSEK act.
2. Review of the Application
The application is considered by the relevant authorities, which check the authenticity of the documents and make a decision on the assignment of payments.
