In connection with the start of military aggression against Ukraine, the state has become more interested in supporting the defense sector. In particular, it expanded the list of social guarantees for servicemen.

Thus, military personnel who enter into a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the right to claim payment from the state.

What is the amount of payment for signing the first contract?

The state guarantees the provision of a one-time cash payment to military personnel and approved the payment grid. In fact, the amount of monetary support will depend on the military rank of the person.

One-time monetary assistance to military personnel, privates and commanding staff after the conclusion of their first contract in the following amounts:

Persons of the rank and file - eight sizes of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons;

Persons of the sergeant and foreman (junior commanding) staff - nine sizes of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons;

Persons of an officer (middle, senior and senior commanding) composition - ten sizes of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons.

As of July 2022, one payment will be from UAH 20,800 to UAH 26,000.
