Application for the payment of a one-time financial assistance to a family member of the deceased

From the moment of death of a serviceman, members of the serviceman's family are entitled to receive a one-time cash benefit in the amount of 15 million hryvnias.

Such a payment is made to family members in equal shares, however, it should be noted that a one-time cash assistance cannot be provided if you have already received other compensation or other assistance after the death of a person. If family members cannot agree on the distribution of funds, the legislation provides for the possibility of establishing the size of the share of each member in court.

Where to apply?

The application contains at the beginning a part of the request for a one-time financial assistance, motivating this request with applications, that is, documents collected in advance. In order to receive the OGD, you must provide:

Copy of the applicant's passport;

Copy of identification code;

Certificate of opening a bank account;

Copy of death certificate;

A copy of the certificate of military service;

A copy of the money certificate;

A copy of the document confirming the family relationship.

As soon as you have checked the availability of the above documents, you must submit an application to the territorial recruitment and social support center from which the serviceman was sent to the military unit.

Despite the legislative norm regarding the term for consideration and response to citizens' appeals, which determines such a period of one calendar month, it is necessary to pay attention to the explanation of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights:

“The impossibility of proper and timely processing of applications, requests and responses is due to the fact that state bodies, local self-government bodies, in accordance with the provisions of Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On the legal regime of martial law”, take, first of all, the measures necessary to prevent the threat, repel armed aggression. and ensuring national security.”
