Robbery
Robbery is the illegal taking of someone else's property for profit. This may include assaulting a person with the intent of taking money, valuables, or other property from them, as well as trespassing into private premises with intent to steal. Robbery is a serious crime and can have severe consequences for victims and perpetrators.
Article 186 of the Criminal Code refers to robbery. Here is the text of Article 186 of the Criminal Code: "Robbery is the use of violence or the threat of its use for the purpose of seizing someone else's property. Robbery is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with or without confiscation of property.
Article 186 part 2 of the Criminal Code refers to robbery: "Robbery committed by a group of persons or with a prior conspiracy, or with the use of weapons or objects that can be used as weapons, or with the purpose of causing serious bodily harm, or combined with assault on life, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of eight to five eleven years with confiscation of property or without such confiscation."
ʼArticle 186, part 1 of the Criminal Code prescribes simple robbery: "Robbery committed by a person previously convicted of the same crime is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to twelve years with confiscation of property or without such confiscation."
Forensic classification of robberies can include various aspects of the crime, such as methods of commission, circumstances surrounding the commission of the crime, place of commission and other factors. Here are some general categories that can be used in the forensic classification of robberies: According to the method of execution: Armed robbery: Committed with the use of weapons or other objects that can cause harm. Physical robbery: Involves assaults on victims with the purpose of taking property. Fraudulent robbery: Uses artifice, deception, or forgery to commit a crime. By place of commission: Robbery on the street or in public places. Robbery in private homes or offices. Robbery in transport (for example, robbery of a car or public transport). Under the circumstances: Robberies using violence or threats. Robberies using masking or hiding the identity of the perpetrator. Robberies committed under the influence of alcohol or drugs. According to the nature of the property that was acquired: Theft of money or valuables. Thefts of vehicles or equipment. Robbery of goods from stores or warehouses.
These categories can be detailed or further divided depending on the specific circumstances of a specific crime under Article 186 of the Criminal Code. Robbery classification helps law enforcement agencies investigate crimes and take effective measures to prevent them.
