Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine 11.04.2024 The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Certain Issues of Military Service, Mobilization and Military Registration", the main provisions of which will enter into force on 05/18/2024
According to the new Law, the following duties are established for citizens regarding mobilization and mobilization training: - to appear upon summons to the TCC and SP at the time and place specified in the summons for taking conscripts or reservists into the military register, determining their appointment for a special period, referral for a medical examination
- provide in the established order during the mobilization of buildings, structures, vehicles and other property, the owners of which they are, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations, civil defense forces, with subsequent reimbursement by the state of their value in the manner established by law
- undergo a medical examination to determine suitability for military service in accordance with the decision of the VLK (military medical commission) or the corresponding TCC and SP
Registration in the electronic account of a conscript, conscript or reservist is a right, not an obligation.
Conscripts within 60 days from the date of entry into force of the decree of the President of Ukraine on the announcement of mobilization, approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, are obliged to clarify their credentials through the National Register of Citizens of Ukraine or the electronic account of a conscript, conscript, reservist, or at the TCC and SP at the place of their staying or being.
Citizens of Ukraine, who are on military registration, are obliged to clarify their address of residence, contact numbers, email addresses (if email is available) and other personal data within 60 days from the date of entry into force of the Law by arriving independently at the TCC and SP at the place of stay on the military register or at your place of residence, or to the Central Administrative Office, or through the electronic account of the conscript, conscript, reservist (if available)
For citizens who independently arrived at the TCC and SP and are subject to being sent for training (training) in connection with conscription for military service, the time of appearance at the TCC and SP is set within two months from the date of passing the VLK̈ (military medical commission).
From 18.05.2024, citizens of Ukraine will be required to carry a military registration document and present it at the request of an authorized representative of the TCC and SP or a police officer, as well as a representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine in the border lane, controlled border area and at checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine.
The procedure for conscription of citizens for military service during mobilization for a special period is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, but the specified procedure has not yet been developed.
