Registration of residence permit in EU countries. In connection with the growing interest in moving and living abroad, the question of obtaining a residence visa in the Czech Republic for Ukrainian citizens arises. This article offers information on the procedure for obtaining a residence visa for Ukrainian citizens in the Czech Republic.

The Czech Republic is a country with a developed economy, rich traditions and a high standard of living. During the war in Ukraine, this state became a refuge for hundreds of thousands of our compatriots. For a long-term legal stay in the Czech Republic, it is necessary to issue a residence permit. Ukrainian citizens who intend to live in the Czech Republic should familiarize themselves with the basic requirements and procedures for obtaining a residence permit. Let's consider the main ways of obtaining it for citizens of Ukraine.

1. Temporary protection for war victims
According to the decree of the President of the Czech Republic, Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes because of the war have the right to temporary protection and a residence permit on this basis. An application must be submitted to the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic within 90 days of arrival, providing identity documents, a certificate of forced displacement and biometric data. The term of validity is up to 1 year with the possibility of extension.

2. Employment in the Czech Republic
One of the ways to obtain a permanent residence permit in the Czech Republic is employment under a contract for at least 1 year. To do this, you must have a valid employment contract, health insurance policy, income certificate, certificate of Czech language proficiency and a receipt for payment of fees.

3. Entrepreneurial activity
Ukrainians can register their own business or become a sole trader in the Czech Republic. To obtain a residence permit on this basis, it is necessary to confirm the availability of investments, permission to carry out activities, payment of taxes and health insurance.

4. Training
A separate student residence permit is provided for students of accredited Czech higher education institutions. It is issued for the entire period of study in the presence of a certificate of enrollment, an average score of previous education and confirmed financial support.

5. Family reunification
Family members of Ukrainians who already have a permanent residence permit can apply for a residence permit under the family reunification procedure. It is necessary to provide documents confirming family ties.

6. Investments
The Czech Republic has a program for foreigners who are ready to invest in the local economy. The amount of investments - from 75 thousand euros in commercial enterprises or company turnover, from 1 million crowns (38 thousand euros) in government bonds. You can get GNP if you meet a number of requirements.

In general, the process of obtaining a residence permit in the Czech Republic involves the collection of a significant package of documents, in particular, proof of the availability of means of subsistence, a health insurance policy, payment of an administrative fee, etc. In addition, applicants may be interviewed.

Obtaining a residence permit in the Czech Republic will allow Ukrainians to legally live, work or study in this developed European state. This will pave the way for social integration in a safe environment. The general procedure for obtaining a residence permit in the Czech Republic for Ukrainian citizens can take some time, so it is recommended to start the registration process in advance.
