The Supreme Council of Justice appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office to bring to justice persons who have committed actions that undermine the authority of justice
The Supreme Council of Justice decided to initiate measures to ensure the independence of judges and the authority of justice due to the facts established during the disciplinary case. This was reported by the press service of the VRP.
In particular, the VRP established such facts during the consideration of the disciplinary case regarding the judge of the Rzhyshchev city court of the Kyiv region Kozina S.M., who, in accordance with the decision of the Second Disciplinary Chamber of the VRP, was brought to disciplinary responsibility and disciplinary sanctions were applied to her in the form of a motion to dismiss the judge from her position .
It is indicated that during 2019–2023, the judge considered 40 cases based on applications of foreign citizens to establish the fact of birth or residence of their relatives on the territory of Ukraine. In each such case, the basis for determining territorial jurisdiction by the Rzhyshchev City Court of the Kyiv Region was lease agreements for residential premises in the city of Rzhyshchev, concluded at addresses that do not exist.
"Therefore, justice was used to legalize illegal actions and attempts to acquire Ukrainian citizenship without grounds. The scale and systematic nature of such actions pose a threat to the independence of judges and the authority of justice," the VRP noted.VRP decided:
Submit to the Prosecutor General's Office a submission on the identification and prosecution of persons who have committed acts that undermine the authority of justice, specified in the decision of the Second Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice of March 27, 2024 No. 911/2dp/15-24 "On prosecution judge of Rzhyshchev city court of Kyiv region Kozina S.M. to disciplinary responsibility".
To contact the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine regarding the appointment within the scope of authority and conducting an audit of the organizational support for the activities of the Rzhyshchev City Court of Kyiv Region, as well as conducting an audit of the proper automated distribution in local general courts for the years 2019-2023 of cases on the establishment of facts of legal significance, which related to issues related to Ukrainian citizenship.
