Invitation to Ukraine for foreigners
An invitation to Ukraine for foreigners is an important document that allows you to obtain a visa for entering the territory of Ukraine. The invitation can be issued by both individuals and legal entities. Let's consider in detail the procedure for receiving an invitation, the necessary documents and the stages of this process.
1. Types of invitations
1.1. Private invitation. For visiting relatives, friends, tourist trips.
1.2. Business invitation. For business trips, participation in conferences, business meetings.
1.3. Invitation from the educational institution. For foreign students who wish to study in Ukraine.
2. Procedure for drawing up an invitation
2.1. Invitation from an individual
Necessary documents:
- a copy of the passport of the inviting person;
- an invitation statement indicating the purpose of the visit, the period of stay and the address of the foreigner's residence;
- a copy of the document confirming the legality of stay in Ukraine (for foreigners or stateless persons who are in Ukraine on legal grounds);
- documents confirming the financial capacity of the inviting person (in some cases).
Procedure:
- submission of an invitation application to the territorial body of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
- receiving an invitation after checking the submitted documents (consideration period - up to 20 working days).
2.2.Invitation from a legal entity
Necessary documents:
- a copy of the certificate of state registration of a legal entity;
- a copy of the passport of the head of the legal entity;
- a statement-invitation from a legal entity, on company letterhead, indicating the purpose of the visit, the period of stay and the place of residence of the foreigner.
Procedure:
- submission of an invitation to the relevant body of the State Migration Service or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine;
- receiving an invitation after checking the submitted documents.
2.3. Invitation from the educational institution
Necessary documents:
- a letter of invitation from the educational institution indicating the purpose, duration of study and guarantees regarding the provision of a place of residence;
- a copy of the license for the right to carry out educational activities (for private educational institutions).
Procedure:
- submission of documents to the educational institution, which sends the request to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
- receiving an invitation, which is then sent to a foreigner.
3. Submission of visa documents
3.1. Preparation of visa documents
Necessary documents:
- invitation (original);
- passport of a foreigner;
- completed application form for obtaining a visa;
- photos of the installed sample;
- Medical Insurance;
- documents confirming financial capacity (for certain categories).
3.2. Submission of documents
- submission of documents to the consulate or embassy of Ukraine in the foreigner's country of residence;
- payment of the consular fee.4. Validity of invitation and visa
- The validity period of the invitation is usually 6 months from the date of issue.
- The validity period of the visa may vary depending on the type of visa (tourist, business, student, etc.) and the period of the planned stay.
