On April 11, the Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 10449 on mobilization in its entirety. The document was voted for after 4294 amendments were agreed upon, which were considered until two in the morning yesterday. "283 MPs voted in favor.
The draft law has been in the works since last year. It will come into force a month after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signs it.
There are many questions among those liable for military service, and the most pressing one at the moment after the adoption of the new mobilization law is: "How to get a military ID card if you have not served in the army?"
All men who have been called up to serve in the army receive military cards. They determine whether a person liable for military service is eligible for military duty.
I will provide a comprehensive answer, so how to get a military ID card after the age of 25 if a man has not done military service.
What is a military ID card?
This is a document that certifies the identity of a serviceman (person liable for military service or a reservist) and determines the affiliation of its holder to military duty.
According to the Law of Ukraine "On Military Duty and Military Service," tickets are issued by district or city territorial recruitment and social support centers (formerly military enlistment offices).
In general, tickets are issued during conscription, enrollment in a military educational institution, or upon discharge from the reserve or deregistration for health reasons.
I would also like to remind you that the conscription age in Ukraine has recently been reduced from 27 to 25 years (Article 15 of the Law of Ukraine On Military Duty and Military Service).
So, how do you get a ticket after the age of 25 if you have not done military service?
I would like to assure you that men who did not serve in the army and have reached the age of military service (after the age of 25) can also receive a military ID card.
- To get one, you need to contact the military registration and enlistment office at your place of residence. Of course, it is not uncommon to be asked where you were and why you did not perform military service.
In order to obtain a military ticket, you need to contact the military registration and enlistment office at your place of residence and provide the following documents:
--Application;
--A copy of your passport and identification code;
--A copy of the document on education (if any);
--A copy of the marriage certificate (if any);
--A copy of the child's birth certificate (if available);
-Certificate of prescription;
--Medical card;
--Three 3×4 photographs (please indicate your name on the back).
So, to summarize the above, if you follow the suggested algorithm of actions, you can get a military ID without any problems.
I would also like to remind you that earlier this provision stipulated that women who received a medical or pharmaceutical degree and were not registered with the military at the relevant district (city) territorial centers of recruitment and social support (did not receive a military registration document) before the approval of this Procedure may be employed as non-conscripts until the end of 2026.
Thus, we can see that the amendments adopted not only to the current law are adopted taking into account changes in the requirements of the time and the imposed martial law in Ukraine, but also in relation to business activities in accordance with the fact that a legal analysis of the situation, analysis of documents and verification of documents by a lawyer, as well as a legal opinion and written advice were carried out.
