Obtaining the status of ubd
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a number of changes to Resolution 413, which regulates the granting and deprivation of the status of a participant in hostilities.

From now on, obtaining an UBD is available to everyone who is currently defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the war. Including volunteers from territorial defense.
Such petitions will be considered by a special commission created on November 10, 2022 by Order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine No. 369.
How to get a certificate of a participant in hostilities?
The documents confirm that the status can be obtained by military personnel, employees of the border services and other units that defended Ukrainian lands and preserved the independence and sovereignty of the country. At the same time, in order to obtain the status of armed forces, they had to take a direct part in military operations or anti-terrorist operations during their implementation.
The UBD certificate is issued by a number of government services:
● Ministry of Justice;
● Ministry of Defense;
● Ministry of Internal Affairs;
● National Guard;
● SBU;
● Administration of border services;
● State Emergency Service and others.
This is the appropriate badge for persons subject to the Order on obtaining the status of a participant in hostilities.
Who can get a certificate of ubd
This status can be obtained by servicemen of various units who defended the territorial integrity of Ukraine and took part in hostilities or conducting special operations.
The following can also get a UBD certificate:
● Persons who have joined voluntary formations. Who self-organized defended the independence of the country and restrained the aggression of the attacking country.
● Persons who performed actions to protect the safety of the population and the interests of the state in connection with the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine
● Clause 2 of the Procedure specifies a wider list of persons who can claim to receive the status of UBD.
● Any persons who took part in combat tasks in the encounter with the enemy (fire contact), who mined and demined the territory.
All these actions must be approved by the headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
How many days do you need to be in the ATO to get an UBD?
When performing duties, a person must be present for at least 30 calendar days. But in the event that a person was involved in the territories where active hostilities are taking place and received an injury, mutilation, contusion that makes it impossible to complete the service, then the ID card is issued regardless of the number of calendar days.
Documents for obtaining a certificate of ubd
