Для цього потрібно подати заяву на звільнення в органи реєстрації та призову громадян. Причини для звільнення можуть бути різними, такими як стан здоров'я, сімейні обставини або інші соціально-економічні причини. При поданні заяви необхідно долучити документальне підтвердження певних обставин (медична довiдка, свiдоцтво про народження дитини тощо). Потрiбно також мати на увазi, що кожен випадок розглядається іndивiduаlno та приймаються рiшення органами призову.
