How to process changes in the company's legal address
Sometimes organizations are forced to relocate. The reason for this may be moving to other regions where the working conditions are the most favorable. In addition, the need to change the legal address often arises due to the end of the lease term, insufficient available space for production needs, or other reasons for the company's activity. However, despite the fact that the change of location of the organization is only a move, according to the current legislation, the legal entity is obliged to notify the state authorities about it and register this fact in a proper manner. If the registration of changes of the legal entity is not timely, the organization risks not receiving important letters and messages, which can lead to serious consequences.
Changing the legal address of the enterprise: concepts and features
The place of state registration of an enterprise is the address of its management or executive body. The information may include details of the location of the director's office or residence, which is formally known as the corporate address or legal address. When a company plans to change its legal address, management should understand that this information includes certain data that are fully entered into the Unified State Register (USR), namely:
● street;
● house number;
● index.
It is noteworthy that today the legislation of Ukraine does not establish such a concept as the legal address of the organization. However, instead, the Civil Code means what the location of the enterprise is. These data must be entered into the EDR, but only on the basis of documents submitted by the enterprise representative for registration with state authorities. Change of legal address: procedure in Ukraine
In the presence of all the necessary documents and the absence of claims to the company representative, the change of the address of the legal entity is carried out in a short time. However, a lot depends on where the organization is moving. Changing an address within the same district is a faster and simpler procedure than moving to another district. ● After that, the company is obliged to notify the tax authorities, on the basis of which the necessary changes are made to the VAT Register, the single tax payer, etc.
